Dedicated to increasing awareness about one of America's most important documents, the National Constitution Center is the first ever museum dedicated to the U.S. Constitution.

Synterra, Ltd. provided construction management services for the National Constitution Center (NCC) Complex, in Philadelphia's Independence National Historical Park-America's most historic square mile.

Built of wood metal and stone the 137 million dollar center houses 160,000 square feet including galleries and 67,785 square feet of state-of-the art exhibit space. The museum includes the story of "We the People", the Kimmel Theatre (a 350 seat star-shaped theatre), the history of the Constitution, as well as more than 100 interactive and multimedia exhibits for all ages, and Signers' Hall which contains 42 life-size bronze statues of the 39 men who signed and the three who dissented the Constitution.

The construction materials included 85,000 square feet of Indiana limestone. 2.6 million pounds of steel and one half-million cubic feet of concrete.
