Synterra, Ltd. provided construction management services for the new passenger station including associated rail work along the Airport High Speed Line of SEPTA's Regional Commuter Rail System. The High Speed Line connects Center City Philadelphia with the Philadelphia International Airport.

With University City being home to several internationally recognized education and research institutions (University of Pennsylvania, University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Drexel University and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to name a few), the station is a major destination for international visitors and a point of departure for University City residents and workers.

Synterra Ltd.'s construction management inspectors conducted independent technical and materials testing throughout the project to ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety standards. These inspections included embankment compaction, materials supply inspection and ongoing project record control.

The management team also coordinated weekly assessment, scheduling and safety meetings with contractors, City agencies and consultants. This hands-on construction management in addition to the review of all invoicing and change order requests ensured that each phase of construction was kept on schedule, on budget and on time within the parameters outlined in contracts.
