Synterra, Ltd, was responsible for planning site improvements to an existing
development of 460 townhouses and 4 senior citizen high-rise buildings.
Design, Planning and Compliance.
Designing the outdoor living, wayfinding and
entry to the community.
In addition to traditional building code and construction compliance,
this project also met the requirements of HUD, ADA and other federal guidelines.
To deliver a master plan that met or exceeded all compliance requirements,
Synterra worked closely with resident representatives, on-site management,
and the Philadelphia Housing Authority Project Manager. The approved plan
evolved by balancing resident requests and comments with HUD and other
agency guidelines.
Creating an outdoor environment that senior
citizens can embrace because it improves their lives.
The plan included a new inviting entrance, a park for seniors, a community
garden and front terrace upgrades throughout the complex.
